Artist Statement

Student work shown included ‘Joram’ by Freark Broersma, and a visualisation of the ancient rampart that encircled Groningen, made on the occasion of 750 years of the Groningen city rights, called ‘Het Bestand’ (which can be translated both as ‘The Truce’ or ‘The File’)

• SCAN (Stichting Computer Animatie Nederland / National Institute for Computer Animation) is the post-graduate department of art school Minerva (part of Groningen Polytechnic) for Computer Graphics and Animation.
