[ISEA2016] Artist Talk: George Legrady — Shifts in the Photographic Paradigm through Digitality and the Aesthetics of Noise

Artist Statement

This presentation traces the author’s digital imaging projects from the mid-1980s to the present based on computational processing and the integration of noise as an aesthetic element. Building on his background in photography, the projects explore the relationship of noise-to-signal and the influence of Shannon’s Information theory in the author’s work.
