[ISEA2008] Panel: Vicki Sowry (Chair) — Way to Go: The Impact of Process on Artists’ Residencies in Science and Research Settings

Panel Statement

invited panel

Presented by the Australian Network for Art & Technology (ANAT), the panel will feature experts from artsactive – the leading international network supporting artists’ programmes in science and research settings – as well as individuals with substantial experience in delivering such programmes. The panel will present the results of the artsactive think-tank being held in Western Australia immediately prior to ISEA2008. The think-tank, hosted by SymbioticA, will interrogate the issues impacting upon the success and sustainability of art/science residency programmes now and into the future, including: residency models and methodologies; contracting — in particular IP and copyright; and parmerships in terms of local, national and international ethical considerations. anat.org.au  artsactive.org.uk   symbiotica.uwa.edu.au
