Artist Statement

Brad deGraf created “Moxy” on the Cartoon Network, the first virtual character for television. 

The Moxy Show, also known as The Moxy Pirate Show and The Moxy & Flea Show, was a CGI animated anthology series developed by Colossal Pictures and produced by Hanna-Barbera for Cartoon Network. It began airing on December 5th, 1993. The show was a “whimsical mesh” of retro pop culture and comedy, with wacky jokes and references. [source: lostmediawiki.com]

  • Brad deGraf studied architecture at Princeton and Mathematics at the University of California at San Diego, USA. He started his career as lead software designer and programmer at SAIC for the US Army National Training Center, and became Head of Technical Direction at Digital Productions before opening deGraf/Wahrman and serving as Director of Production.
