This institutional presentation highlights an innovative university wide art-tech lab: the Immersive Arts Space at the Zurich University of the Arts (CH). The presentation describes the
lab’s role inside and outside the context of a large public art school and the manner in which different conceptual, critical and practice-base agendas coincide. The position of the
IASpace is theorized within broader frameworks of innovation and the social-material production of knowledge in Science and Technology Studies (STS) in order to understand the lab’s broader political-aesthetic dynamics and evolving ethos.
