[ISEA2022] Artists Statement: Muriel Romero & Pablo Palacio — Embodied Machine

Artists Statement

June 11-12, Mercat de les Flors. ISEA2022 Extended Programme

This work focuses on how creativity that arises from bodily experience can be captured and be the basis for artistic creation in other disciplines. Embodied Machine is an experiment based on translating the human body into abstractions that, at the same time, can be the basis for transforming it into other static manifestations. A piece in which Muriel Romero relates on stage with avatars of herself that manifest in the form of light and sound, presences that behave autonomously and with which it is possible to interact, maintaining a multi-sensory dialogue.
