Artist Statement

There are many times in the life when he or she is put under examination of a community’s standards, laws, and customs that he or she might reject completely.

• Ahmed El Shaer (b. 1981, 2002 B.F.A., Faculty of Art and Education, Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt) is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice spans the mediums of installation, photography, sound and video, with a particular interest in digital technologies.
