Electro-Vocal Performance
We are able to absorb enormous amounts of information simultaneously, but when it comes down to words, our brain refuses to process more than ONE at a time. Horizontal Vertigo attempts to go beyond this limit. By using very special rhythmical techniques, it creates a sort of second level. Then – on this second level – it accommodates a second discourse. The performer is giving a second discourse at the same time but with only one mouth and only one language and so on. The listener is able to hear the two discourses -with only one pair of ears.
