[ISEA2013] Curator Statement: Tin Shed Gallery — Emergen/City project

Curator Statement

ISEA2013 and Tin Sheds Gallery present an investigation of electronic art and architecture – disSentience, curated by Lian Loke; The Generative Freeway Project, a participatory installation by Matthew Sleeth; and Transpotage, a living installation by Spanish architectural duo Selgascano – which together will form part of the Emergen/City project.

  • The Tin Shed Gallery began back in the 1990’s, not certain when. Since then our inhouse artists have produced, been commissioned & sold in excess of some 2000 pieces. In the beginning we concentrated on nautical style furniture and fit outs all made from recycled timbers and found objects. A decade or so latter we now specialise in “Theming the tropics”, with collective skills in photography, interior design & sculpture.    tinshedgallery.net
