Artist Statement

MUSICAL BREAK

This piece is part of an ensemble of music began in the early 70’s. The title of the whole work could be that of one of the pieces: Chansons de Gestes. There are movements of human bodies and bodies of sound; movements coming from the world of animals; artificial movements or movements marked with a sense of history; movements in this music that come from our environment. Along with those movements, as well as meaning of their origins, are the gestures peculiar to our studios and our expressions which — whether they last the whole meeting or just one song — use the froth of noises as a source of sound.
