Artists Statement

CONCERT

This project is based on a Show / Performance (percussion, piano, electronics), which primarly characteristic is that of interactivity between instruments, interprets and electronic all managed live. The programme’s content offers a journey during which the reality, the imaginary, the concrete and the virtual combine, through the work of five Composers from different nationalities, cultures and aesthetical orientations.

  • Thierry Miroglio. After percussion studies with the both eminent soloists Jean-Pierre Drouet and Sylvio Gualda and musical acoustic studies with lannis Xenakis, he took part in different musical and research work with important ensembles in France and abroad before starting a brilliant solo career. He is now invited in more than twenty countries to give recitals and solo concerts in numerous places and international Festivals. He also collaborates with different studios of electroacoustic researches (IRCAM, UPIC, Grame…). Also Professor in Conservatory Darius Milhaud in Paris, Thierry Miroglio gives Masterclasses, lectures or seminars about contemporary Percussion in many countries and found, as artistic Director, the international Meetings of Percussion.
  • Ancuza Aprodu  began piano studies at the age of 4. One year later she wins the Interpretation Competition of Suceava. She continued piano Studies in Bucarest with Smaranda Murgan before settling in Italy, where she she follows courses provided by the pianist Roberto Bollea and the composer Enrico Correggia (Style Writing and Musical Story). She wins the High Diploma of Piano at the High National Conservatory of Torino and is a laureate of different international competitions. While she has come to live and stay in France definitively, she also has been developing an international solist career in Europe and America, since 1993, performing a large repertory from the Barocco to Contemporary music. Ancuza Aprodu gives an important place to Creation and has given numerous premieres by young and famous composers such as G. Ligeti, Fr.Donatoni, B.Jolas, H. Nakamura, E. Correggia, D. Acker, O. Lopez, Fr. Miroglio, M. Ohana, K. Ager, M. Nobre, D. Lemetre, A.Solbiati, D.Teruggi…
