Abstract

 
This project not only has examined the folk culture of fortune telling itself, but also the phenomenon of the combination of folk culture with digital culture, particularly in the phenomenon of how people’s behaviours have changed through hi-tech era. The theory of collective unconscious and synchronicity from Carl Gustav Jung, and the discovered research on binary arithmetic from Leibniz are indeed ideas that assist us in understanding the rationality of fortune telling, and the way of finding patterns from the Internet.
