Panel Statement

This panel tackles questions dealing with cultural diversity when fac¬ing the logic of globalising and standardising the market; with making digital culture more accessible; and with the role of social, economic and polit¬ical players in a context that is simultaneously local and global.

MODERATOR: Nils Aziosmanoff, President and founder of ART3000, and the director of ISEA2000. He is also Vice President of itipi SA. Musician and composer, he has directed the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse de Jouy-en-Josas.

PANELISTS

  • Etienne Krieger. Graduate of HEC (major business school) and the Université Paris-Dauphine, is the director of the CHALLENGE+ programme devoted to creating high technology companies.
  • Philippe Quéau. Director of Information Society Division UNESCO. Director of Research at INA, he has founded and managed the event Imagnia (Monaco).
  • Andre Santini. Mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux’s since 1980, and since 1988 Hauts-de-Seine’s deputy, elected at the head of the Local Elected National Movement (MNEL) and of the Global Cities Dialogue in the year 2000, has been twice minister under the Cohabitation.
  • Louis Bec. Leading a research exploring perfidiously the relations between artistical, scientifical and technological fields. He is the only one to be graduated in ‘Zoossystemie’. He suggests a fabulatoury epistemology based on artificial life and technozoosemiotic. He has organized several events as Le Vivant et L’Artificiel at the Festival d’Avignon in 1984 , ART/COGNITION in 1992 in Aix en Provence, AVIGNONumerique/Les MUTALOGUES for Avignon Cultural European City for the year 2000.
