Curator Statement

Sonic interventions in Liverpool and Manchester ‘Sound & Music’ explores the powerful potential of sound in public places to describe spaces and characterize an environment. Four very diverse projects, all placing sound as their central focus, will engage with different communities and localities within the Liverpool and Manchester area such as commuters between the two cities, the Albert Dock and its relationship to the extensive history of Liverpool as a port, the nationally renowned nightclub Cream, and more expansively through the global communities on the internet.
